I am so excited about this announcement. Whimsically Warm now has an Etsy shop which is open for business! You can go directly to the shop’s main page by clicking on the “Shop” button in the top menu bar.
Here’s a little information about the shop. I’m selling my handmade goods like wooden monograms, canvas paintings, and floral mason jars. My shop is focused on home decor, and all items are able to be customized to fit your needs. That includes different colors, words, styles, and anything else you can imagine. I’m really looking forward to working with customers to create items for their homes that they will love! You can find more details in the shop and under specific item descriptions.
Whimsically Warm (the blog) began as a personal project. The blog was supposed to be a way for me to practice my writing skills and store up DIYs and recipes for my own use, and maybe-someday-hopefully it would turn into a real life blog that people looked at and loved. I had it on the private setting, so only people I chose could see it, for almost a whole year! I wanted to just have a place to practice blogging to find my style and figure out what I really wanted out of blogging before I made it a public ordeal. Now, I have opened it up for everyone to see! It’s not perfect, or even close to perfect, but it’s mine and I love it 🙂
The Whimsically Warm Etsy shop has been a project in the making as well. Cody has been encouraging me to open an online shop for my creations for years. I’ve always been skeptical, saying things like “It’s not really that valuable”, “Why would anyone pay money for this?”, and Cody’s favorite, “If people want stuff for their homes, why don’t they just make it themselves?” But, with lots of love and support from my family & friends, including Cody of course, I’ve mustered up the courage to open the shop and see where it leads.
Friends, I have a commitment to being a real person online, which means sharing the good parts of life and the bad parts too. It also means being totally honest with myself and with people who see my social media accounts, and now my blog. I have no idea where this blog or the Etsy shop will take me. I don’t know if it will make any money, or if people will like my products, or if it’s gong to be a hard lesson learned. The nature of most decisions in life is that you just. don’t. know. But, that’s where faith comes in. I am really feeling God nudge me to do this! When I pray about it and tell God that I’m worried or that I don’t know what to do, He sends me one more sign, and gives me one more word of encouragement. He tells me that this is what I should do, and that He’s got this. Despite the uncertainty, despite the possibility of failure, despite my worries, God says GO! So, here I am. Going. Doing. Watching to see what happens. Being excited!
Thank you for reading this far, and thank you even more for supporting me in this project. You’re great!
